Sunday lazy Sunday

Sunday 26th July

I didn't get a photo today, so to save face I will post one from yesterday lol

We walked along the beach and found this group of pelicans. As I got closer most took flight, apart from just this one who was more than content to stay.

Give me an F, give me an I, give me a S, give me an H, give me an ING!

What an awesome Saturday! We started the day with fishing and fun with the boys, and then finished off with Annette's 50th birthday party.

We spent some time fishing at both the marina and the jetty. The best I could manage was a Sweep, and Paul threw it back GRRR lol. We all had a lovely day though. Who ever gets sick of fishing, sunshine, watching dolphins, relaxation and partying.... the perfect day!

Here's some pics of the day ....

Me with my Sweep
For some reason, this gull seemed to befriend me.... maybe it was the baby Tommy Ruffs I was feeding him lol

Playing catch up

Friday 24th July

Today was spent playing catch up with the family. Firstly we went up to Port Lincoln to visit Aunty Ada and Uncle Peddle, and what a suprise she got when we all turned up! She absolutely loved the fact we made the effort, all 9 of us lol So after enjoying subway for lunch at the park overlooking Boston Bay, we then we went for a drive out to Sleaford Bay but unfortunately there was no whales. Later in the arvo back to Tumby Bay to Vickie and Michael's to have a BBQ and chat with the Elliot's

We saw these pelicans on the way through Port Lincoln, and I just loved the way the light hit the water ..

What a lovely start to our holiday

Thursday 23rd July

After arriving at Arno, and settling into our cabin, I thought this would be a nice start for my photos. I really enjoy the coastal sunrises and sunsets , they are just stunning!

Wednesday 22nd July

Paul took the car to get tuned and serviced this morning, so we're organised to go away. He came home and was telling me he'd put a Keno on, and after going online to check the results, we had won $500 Very nice suprise!

So tomorrow we're heading to Arno Bay... which means there won't be updates on here as often, but I promised to post photos as soon as I can.

Tuesday 21st July

Playing outside with Kedon this morning, I noticed this lone daisy. It's a nice sign of spring.... I'm certainly looking forward to the coming months.

Awwww

Monday 20th July

I know all Mums love their bubbas.... but this boy is something! He has just got the most beautiful cheeky personality.... I don't know whether to laugh or cry some days lol

Couldn't choose 1 photo... so here's a few *blush*

Simple things

Sunday 19th July

Paul and Kedon were happily playing with a balloon tonight, and it reminded me to appreciate the simple things. There's lots of $$$$ spent on toys in this house... but a balloon bought out the giggles and laughter.

I love you!

Saturday 18th July

I'm terrible, I can't resist taking pics of these two. We were outside this morning, and Matt asked Kedon for a cuddle as he walked past him..... you guessed it, I was snapping like a crazy woman lol

Brothers in arms

Friday 16th July

I love the fact that even with such a huge gap between them in age, my boys adore each other. Of course they have their moments! Kedon's face lights up when he see's Matt .. it's just gorgeous!

Must be that time of year

Thursday 16th July

I noticed this Magpie making herself a nest in the park across the road. The kids quite often run across there, so will have to keep them away for a while. Always nice to see the circle of life continue...

Mad Cow!

Wednesday 15th July

As you probably notice... there's no photo for yesterday, I was suffering Mad Cow disease.

I had a research group to attend in the city last night, and while trying to tackle Adelaide laneways I backed into a car :(

I was upset at the fact I'd damaged someones NEW car... but today the guy (who was more than gracious about it all) tells me it's a company car, so I feel a little less guilty. There was no one in the car at the time, so I just left a note under his wiper. The funny thing was the only paper I could find in the car to scribble my details on was a "buy one get one free BigMac" voucher ... bet you he wanted to tell me where to stick my BigMac lol

Anywayyyy ... today was a better day, Paul took me out to lunch :) Matt went out for the day with another Paul, and Kedon spent a few hours with his Pop and Aunty O.

I thought it was fitting to bring out the "Mad Cow" that my bestie gave me for Easter a few years back..... actually, she quite often gives me cow gifts lol... maybe there's something in it!

Our prize arrived

Monday 13th July

We entered an online competition a couple of weeks back, and it came up that we won a prize. Forever the sceptic, I didn't believe it. We got a phone call a week later telling us we'd won an Xbox 360! It arrived today.... so ok now I believe it lol. We already have the PS2 and Wii ... so putting it away for a Xmas present for C.

I thought I'd have a bit of fun with the pic.... I took the photo from the outside, and got the reflection of me (due to the tinted window), with the Xbox on the inside of the window.

A quiet Sunday afternoon with the family

Sunday 12th July

We went over to SIL's today for a few hours. As always, the food is delightful... Pumpkin Soup, and Cream Horns... drool!

Don was there too, it's always nice to have us all together.... maybe I don't want to move away?? K is still so little.... and they have such a close bond. I'm certain if we do move, we'll be making huge efforts to visit as much as possible.

So back to dessert... the first one was good, so I had one for you too!

The many faces of Kedon

I took so many pics of Kedon today, but unfortunately got nothing I really liked. I decided on a storyboard instead of posting an individual pic....

Mmmm Muffins!

Friday 10th July

This afternoon Matt and I made some delicious banana & white choc chip muffins. He's really enjoying Home Ec at school and seems keen to get in the kitchen, so I'm sure there'll be more to come.

I just love the tongue sticking out when he's concentrating...

What glorious weather!

Today was another beautiful day... which was a suprise considering what the forecast predicted. We decided to take an afternoon stroll to the park and feed the ducks.... something we all enjoy!

Not very often I get Matt to volunteer for a photo (on his terms of course)... so this one is rare lol

One of Kedon just for good measure .....

Creepy Crawlies

Wednesday 8th July

Today must have been the day for crawlies...EWWW! Woke up this morning to a huntsmen perched on my loungeroom roof, then today coming in from the car noticed this caterpillar having a wander around our bush.

Headed for Victor Harbor

Tuesday 7th July

We decided we'd do a day trip up towards Victor Harbor for the day. First stop of course was to see if there were any whales around, and we caught up with Gail & her boys briefly who were also whale watching at Middleton. The Southern Right Whales are found there around this time of year, and we certainly weren't dispoointed.

Then it was off around the Peninsula. We went over and had a look at Hindmarsh Island, and went up to the Murray Mouth. We also went and had a look at the Weir among other places. Don (Paul's Dad), myself and the boys had an awesome day.... definitely something we must do more often!.

So while the big and the little kid were playing .. I grabbed a few snaps.

Catch me if you can says Pop...

Got you!!

Let's take a walk to the park..

Monday 6th July

Paul had a great idea.....let's leave the car home, and walk with the boys to one of the local smaller parks (we usually drive to a larger park with a pond). It was just what they both needed, a walk, a playground, and room to run! They are such good mates, it's gorgeous watching them play chasy, and them hiding from each other behind trees etc Of course the biggest kids of them all enjoyed it too!
I snapped a few pics... excuse the dirty face lol I hope the colours are ok, I'm on the laptop and the colour isnt true.

Concentrating very hard..

Butter wouldn't melt in his mouth...

Kedon... can Mum have one more photo please?

I'll take that as a NO shall I?

Ooooh....

Sunday 5th July

I've got to Day 5 of a photo challenge. Considering there are 360 days left in this challenge, I won't be boasting too loudly quite yet LOL

Paul has gone to the footy with his brother, so the boys and I are relaxing with a couple of movies.

I did manage to sneek Kedon away for this though...

Boys will be boys.. and these 2 mean double trouble LOL

Saturday 4th July

We had Master L over for a playdate today, and he and Kedon had a wow of a time. They were so funny, finding the silliest things to keep themselves amused. At one stage they were doing laps of the house being monkeys... noises and all!
It was quite funny at lunch time when I had them both at the table. I asked Kedon not to rock on his chair, so Master L decides he'll have a go at it. So then I ask Master L not to rock on the chair.... he looks down the table to Kedon, and in unison they both start rocking on their chairs ... AND giggling at me! I had no chance at this point, I was too busy laughing at their cheekiness... so I gave in and walked away. Lucky I love them LOL

We also had his little sister Miss M, who's growing so fast.... she'll be 1 in 9 weeks!

Indoors it is.... so painting we will do

Friday 3rd July

A quiet day today.. the weather certainly didn't entice me to get outdoors. Kedon and I enjoyed some painting this morning, we did a poster from a Thomas pack that Tania kindly bought him for his birthday.

Today is also the gorgeous Kayla's 13th Birthday! Wishing we were in Melbourne to help her celebrate, but I'll see her soon enough to smother her in kisses!

Thursday 2nd July

I was saddened to hear today that Jim Stynes is fighting cancer. He announced he will be standing back in his role at Melbourne Football Club while he receives treatment. Stynesy has done an amazing job at our club over the last year at the helm, and I hope he has many more to come as our President. Carn the Dees!

July 1st - John Farnham turns 60!

Wednesday 1st July

I thought it would be appropriate to start my challenge with a mention of John's 60th birthday today. I'm certainly showing my age when I say he was my teen heart throb, and there wasn't an inch on my bedroom walls that didn't have a picture of Farnesy. He's had an amazing journey with his music through so many generations, and continues to do so.

I've been to a few JF concerts. I remember Geoff bought me a ticket to "Jesus Christ Superstar", I saw a couple while volunteering with St John, and was lucky enough to win tickets to his "Last Time" tour while I was living in QLD. I'm certainly looking forward to his "Barossa Under The Stars" concert.... bring on October!
